Carter was diagnosed with autism at 2 1/2 years old. He could hardly speak 10 words at the time he was diagnosed. We were told he would probably always be in a special ed classroom. He is now 7 years old, and he not only speaks but sings every Sunday at church. Carter is in a general education classroom with inclusion support. Although he still struggles with social skills and has some stimming behaviors, we are so thankful for how far he has come. My hope through this blog is to inspire others through our journey. It hasn't always been easy. I have shed many tears, and I still do along the way, but I will fight for my child! If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
