Carter was diagnosed with autism at 2 1/2 years old. He could hardly speak 10 words at the time he was diagnosed. We were told he would probably always be in a special ed classroom. Today he not only speaks but loves to sing as well. Carter was in a general education classroom with inclusion support from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Now he is homeschooled and doing very well in his subjects. He loves to learn. Math and Science are his favorite subjects. Although he still struggles with some things and has some stimming behaviors, we are so thankful for how far he has come. We continue to see growth and progress. My hope through this blog is to inspire others through our journey in our faith and trust in Jesus. It hasn't always been easy. I have shed many tears, and I still do along the way, but I will fight for my child! If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
